We became very fond of Jamaican food and decided to make jerk wings. These wings were very delicious but super spicy. We got our inspiration for this recipe from Pinterest but we altered the recipe to our own liking and to our own taste. We hope you enjoy this recipe as much as we did!
Ingredients:
Chicken wings
2 Bay leaves
4 cloves of garlic
1 tsp ginger paste
1 scotch bonnet pepper / jalapeño
3 limes / lemon
2 tsp thyme
1 finely chopped onion
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp allspice
1 tsp all-purpose seasoning
2 tsp black pepper
1/2 cayenne pepper
1/2 cinnamon
2 tsp paprika
2 tsp salt
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/2 cup olive oil
Steps:
Add chicken to a large bowl
Add garlic, onion, ginger, scotch bonnet, soy sauce, honey, lemon juice, salt, pepper, paprika, thyme, allspice, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, bay leaves, and oil to a medium-sized bowl. Stir to combine. Transfer marinade to the bowl and save some for the glaze
Remove wings from marinade and discard the excess. Transfer chicken to the oven and cook for 30-40 minutes, flipping every 10-15 minutes, until the skin is crispy.
When ready to cook, preheat oven to 175
